Why MTG Agents?
Every game of Magic is an adventure, and sometimes the way forward isn’t clear. If you’re confused by a new card or need some deck ideas, Nissa is here to help. She not only gives you answers, but also shows you where the information comes from by linking to trusted sites like Scryfall and the official Rulebook. It’s much quicker to ask Nissa than to sift through tons of search results.
A Multi-Agent Experience
Nissa is built as a multi-agent system, meaning you’re not just interacting with one chatbot, but with a team of specialized agents. Each agent is tailored to a specific aspect of the game and leverages different data sources and large language models:

Frequently Asked Questions
You can ask all questions regarding Magic the Gathering in the Chat. Here are some examples:
Rules Question:
Example 1: Blood Moon & Urzas Saga
User:
What happens to Urza’s Saga when Blood Moon is played?
Nissa:
Board State:
«Urza’s Saga» is an enchantment land with saga abilities.
«Blood Moon» is on the battlefield, making all nonbasic lands into Mountains.
What happens: When «Blood Moon» enters the battlefield, «Urza’s Saga» becomes only a land—Mountain (it keeps being an enchantment and a saga, but loses all its original abilities, including its chapter abilities).
Because it now has no chapter abilities, its “final chapter number” is 0. If «Urza’s Saga» has any lore counters (which it will, if it had been on the battlefield), state-based actions force its controller to sacrifice it immediately.
In short: «Urza’s Saga» is put into the graveyard as a state-based action when «Blood Moon» enters the battlefield and there are any lore counters on the Saga.
Example 2: Pantlaza & Displaced Dinosaurs
User:
If I have Pantlaza, Sun-Favored and Displaced Dinosaurs in play, and I create a treasure, does Pantlaza, Sun-Favored trigger?
Nissa:
Board State:
You control «Pantlaza, Sun-Favored» (which triggers when another Dinosaur you control enters the battlefield).
You control «Displaced Dinosaurs» (which makes every historic permanent that enters your battlefield—including Treasures—become a 7/7 Dinosaur creature, in addition to its other types).
You create a Treasure token.
Analysis: Treasure is an artifact, which is a historic permanent. With «Displaced Dinosaurs» on the battlefield, the Treasure enters as a 7/7 Dinosaur artifact creature. «Pantlaza, Sun-Favored» triggers whenever another Dinosaur you control enters the battlefield.
Conclusion: Yes, when you create a Treasure token with «Displaced Dinosaurs» in play, the Treasure enters as a Dinosaur and will trigger «Pantlaza, Sun-Favored»’s ability. You may discover X, where X is the Treasure’s (now Dinosaur’s) toughness (which is 7). This can only happen once each turn due to Pantlaza’s restriction.
Deck Building
Example 1:
User:
What is the name of the card? Its a zombie that when it dies i get a treasure token or i can put a -1/-1 counter on another creature.
Karn:
“The card you’re describing is most likely «Shambling Ghast». When «Shambling Ghast» dies, you can choose to either create a Treasure token or give a creature -1/-1 until end of turn. Is this the card you were thinking of?”
Example 2:
User:
Analyze my Chatterfang Deck. I want to add more token generators. List 5 Token Generators with a squirrel theme.
Karn:
Here are some Squirrel-themed token generators that could fit well in your «Chatterfang, Squirrel General» deck:
-
«Nut Collector»: At the beginning of your upkeep, you may create a 1/1 green Squirrel creature token. With Threshold, all Squirrels get +2/+2 as long as seven or more cards are in your graveyard.
-
«Camellia, the Seedmiser»: Whenever you sacrifice one or more Foods, create a 1/1 green Squirrel creature token. It also gives other Squirrels menace.
-
«Squirrel Wrangler»: Allows you to create two 1/1 green Squirrel creature tokens by sacrificing a land, and can pump Squirrel creatures for additional power.
-
«Drey Keeper»: When it enters the battlefield, create two 1/1 green Squirrel creature tokens. It can also pump Squirrels for additional power and give them menace.
-
«Hazel of the Rootbloom»: At the beginning of your end step, create a token that’s a copy of target token you control. If that token is a Squirrel, instead create two tokens that are copies of it.
These cards enhance your deck’s ability to generate Squirrels, which synergizes perfectly with Chatterfang’s abilities.
