The AI Sets the Filters

Every search is read for its structure first. Colors, format legality, card type, mana value, power and toughness, price, set, rarity and release date are pulled out of your sentence and filled into the search form, and the rest becomes a search over what cards actually do. Ask for "white flying creatures in Standard" and you get white, creature and Standard as filters, plus a search for flying.

You Stay in Control

The filters the AI chose are shown in the form, so you can see how your request was read. Tighten the price, add a color or switch formats and search again. Prefer to set everything yourself? Turn the AI off and the search uses only the filters you pick.

Accents are optional: "dain ironfoot" finds Dáin Ironfoot. Type a name on its own with a small typo and you still get the card you meant.

Is the MTG card search free?

Yes. The card search is free and works without an account. Create a free account to pin one of your decks, so results fit it and you can add cards to it directly.

Do I need to learn a search syntax?

No. Describe the card in plain English, like "cheap red removal that hits creatures and planeswalkers". The AI turns your sentence into filters and a search over what cards do. If you prefer exact control, every filter is also available in the form.

Can I search for MTG cards by what they do?

Yes. Searching by effect is what the AI card search is built for. Describe a role such as ramp, card draw, a board wipe or a sacrifice outlet, and it finds cards that do it, even when their rules text words it differently.

How do I find cards similar to a specific card?

Type "cards like" followed by the card name, for example "cards like Rhystic Study". That card is shown first, followed by cards with a similar role in its colors and card type.

Can I search only for cards in my commander's color identity?

Yes. Pin your Commander deck and results stay inside its color identity and legal in Commander, with cards already in the deck left out. Without a deck, pick the colors and turn on exact color matching.

Can I search for budget cards?

Yes. Ask for "cheap" or "budget" cards in your search, or set a price range in the filters. Every result shows its price on the market you choose: Cardmarket (EUR), TCGplayer (USD) or MTGO (tix).

Does the search include new sets?

Yes. Cards from recent sets are part of the search, and they get a ranking lift, so new options show up next to established staples.

Can I hide cards with certain rules text?

Yes. Under the advanced filters, list words or phrases such as "an opponent controls" and any card whose rules text contains them is left out of the results.
